The MCI has represented the motorcycle industry in the UK for over 100 years.  It has established strong relationships and communication lines within government, transport, safety and business arenas, as the recognised industry body in the Powered Two Wheeler (PTW) sector.

The MCI and its Board recognise that the industry must look to the future and encourage the development and usage of new technology Powered Two Wheelers (PTWs).

Failure to embrace alternative powered sources and ensure inclusion of ePTWs in transport policy risks the loss of significant opportunities and the marginalisation of motorcycles in the long term.

There is a need to bring together stakeholders with a varied interest in developing the sector (e.g. power, technology, finance, insurance etc), and for an industry body to represent them; officials will not wish to talk to a range of bodies or individual market providers.

The eMCI is the representative trade association for the future of the ePTW Sector.
